Many individuals and institutions have contributed
information that was used to build this website on IPM in Thailand.
Their contributions are gratefully acknowledged.
The Department of Agriculture (DOA) and the Department
of Agricultural Extension (DOAE) has over the years build up a vast
knowledge on crop and pest management. Many of its staff were consulted
and many of its publications were used as sources of information. The
Offices of Agricultural Research and Development (OARD) of regions 1, 2,
5 and 6 shared their experiences and coordinated field activities with
vegetables and fruit farmers. The toxic substances division provided
information on pesticides and their registration.
For the development of IPM guidelines for fruit and
vegetable crops in Thailand, the "Ecological guides" developed by the
FAO Inter-Country programme for IPM in vegetables in South and Southeast
Asia have been an inspiration and a source of information. Some parts of
these guides were copied and/or translated into Thai language. Several
illustration were copied and are used in this website and in the IPM
guidelines for fruits and vegetables in Thailand.
