Net house

Insect netting can be used to protect plants against insects. Fine nets  supported by wooden or bamboo frames will prevent moths and other big insects entering the crop. If the net is fine enough it will even stop smaller insects such as aphids.

Of course the cost of using net houses is relatively high, but if treated with care they can be used for several seasons. The savings from reduced pesticide use will also compensate for this investment. Especially in nurseries or high value crops net houses can be very useful. 

Use of net houses provides some shading to the crop and it may slightly increase the humidity in the crop. This can have an effect on the growth of the crop and also on the development of diseases.
